Bayezit Tecik didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ömer Demirci went, in the 5th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. 7 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goalkeeper Giannis Papadas had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Balamir Kamuran. In the 14th minute, KOCAELİSPOR's Claudio Delgadillo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Claudio Delgadillo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of KOCAELİSPOR protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Claudio Delgadillo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 14th minute, one of KOCAELİSPOR:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for KOCAELİSPOR. With a little luck, KOCAELİSPOR's Giannis Papadas got control of the ball when Agah Özver tried to sneak it across the goal line. Bayezit Tecik made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ömer Demirci in the 37th minute of play. Giannis Papadas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Maximo Lesardo in the 39th minute. In the 44th minute Ömer Demirci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bayezit Tecik saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Giannis Papadas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Primitivo Gorka in the 47th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ömer Demirci made a kick off. 63 minutes into the match, KOCAELİSPOR's goal looked a bit too open when Primitivo Gorka came free, but Giannis Papadas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bayezit Tecik was out of position in the 67 minute of play, and Ömer Demirci capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ömer Demirci really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximo Lesardo in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Giannis Papadas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Aşır Zabit had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 80th match minute, Tömük33 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maximo Lesardo to maneuver through the defense. Aşır Zabit blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bayezit Tecik having to make a save. Bayezit Tecik made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aşır Zabit in the 96th minute. The KOCAELİSPOR supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KOCAELİSPOR would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
