After 6 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Rune Fanström. Kazimierz Domala recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fang Bing Lei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Saturnino Curcio in the 9th minute of play. Fang Bing Lei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Ademar Rochas short, quick shot in the 18thth minute got Fang Bing Lei to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A collision led to Sporting de Gijón getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Niceto Dominix hit a great ball. Dante Fernendo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kazimierz Domala in the 26th minute of play. Fang Bing Lei made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Ademar Rocha sent off a good shot on target. Fang Bing Lei showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ademar Rocha, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alejandro Rufo in the 53rd minute of play forced Pistolero Tricolor FC's goalkeeper Fang Bing Lei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dante Fernendo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kazimierz Domala in the 55th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Pistolero Tricolor FC's zone, Alejandro Rufo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fang Bing Lei came out of the goal and Alejandro Rufo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sporting de Gijón's Constantino Nuno was substituted for Gabriel-Omar Batistuta. After 64 played minutes Sporting de Gijón got a freekick which was hit by Ademar Rocha. Sporting de Gijón's Dante Fernendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kazimierz Domala in the 65th minute of play. In the 66thth minute of the game Matias Bilintx who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pistolero Tricolor FC's Fang Bing Lei was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kazimierz Domala might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dante Fernendo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kazimierz Domala ran back to his position shaking his head. Sporting de Gijón's Dante Fernendo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armando Bela in the 72nd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Sporting de Gijón's goalkeeper Dante Fernendo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kazimierz Domala. Fang Bing Lei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Bilintx in the 81st minute of play. 82 minutes into the game, Cláudio Trigo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pistolero Tricolor FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sporting de Gijón the free kick. In the 87th minute, Denis Bonadona hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kazimierz Domala received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Dante Fernendo came out and tried to block the shot, but Kazimierz Domala slotted it home off the left post making it 0-1 in the 87th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Armando Bela in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dante Fernendo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match was over Pistolero Tricolor FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sporting de Gijón throughout the match.
