The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute Dylan Sarmiento shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frederic Gschwendtner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Showtime FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Cutberto came free, but Iván Comino reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of ZigZag Athletic booed when Showtime FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Mederi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Zbigniew Furlit recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 22nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rafael Cutberto came free with the goalkeeper in the 28th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Iván Comino could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, Showtime FC's Rodolfo Etxahun got a free kick in the 29th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as ZigZag Athletic's Rafael Cutberto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Iván Comino. That made the score 2-0 after 31 minutes of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rafael Cutberto in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iván Comino prevented the ball from getting in the gole. ZigZag Athletic's Chan Clas got his second yellow card of the match in the 42nd minute. The referee ordered Chan Clas off the ground. Chan Clas kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, ZigZag Athletic's goal looked a bit too open when Dylan Sarmiento came free, but Frederic Gschwendtner reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Dylan Sarmiento made the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Rafael Cutberto's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iván Comino was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Iván Comino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Cutberto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rafael Cutberto came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the ZigZag Athletic fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rafael Cutberto couldn't finish the play. Showtime FC's Angel Crescencio was substituted for Ramon Modestio. In the 76thth minute of the game Rafael Cutberto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Showtime FC's Iván Comino was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 78th minute Rafael Cutberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iván Comino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 minutes, Sture Sander mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ZigZag Athletic and the Showtime FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Sture Sander hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Showtime FC made a substitution. Ambrosio Iraunkor replaced Rodolfo Etxahun. Rafael Cutberto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Iván Comino read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 94th minute of play. Frederic Gschwendtner was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dylan Sarmiento showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 95 minute of play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ZigZag Athletic fans cheered their team off the field, for while Showtime FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
