When Aristides Santos came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Ascacibar-Pérez fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aristides Santos couldn't finish the play. 8 minutes into the match, Ascacibar-Pérez's goal looked a bit too open when Xesus Barrieta came free, but Einar Holmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Xesus Barrieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Einar Holmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Martín Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franciszek Lerych saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Einar Holmberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Agostinho Negri in the 32nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agostinho Negri got free with Einar Holmberg in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Jadymy Durś booed when Ascacibar-Pérez was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Elija didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franciszek Lerych showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Clis in the 41st minute of the match. In the 47th minute, Ascacibar-Pérez's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Andrzej Dobrowski fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agostinho Negri was the one to do the kick off. A collision led to Ascacibar-Pérez getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Esteban Valerio hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ascacibar-Pérez's zone, Agostinho Negri stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Einar Holmberg came out of the goal and Agostinho Negri tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the match, Jadymy Durś's Agostinho Negri sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Einar Holmberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 61st minute, Agostinho Negri made a precise shot to the right of Einar Holmberg. Ascacibar-Pérez's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. After having played for 71 minutes, Agostinho Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jadymy Durś's supporters crossed their fingers, but Agostinho Negri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ascacibar-Pérez made a substitution. Erubiel Dalmu replaced Erasmo Clis. Ascacibar-Pérez's Casimiro Santana was substituted for Aristides Santos. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agostinho Negri in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Einar Holmberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Agostinho Negri blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Einar Holmberg having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agostinho Negri in the 83rd minute of play forced Ascacibar-Pérez's goalkeeper Einar Holmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Jadymy Durś getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Jedrzej Sanocki hit a great ball. 96 minutes into the game, Ignacy Sokolski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
