An unexpectedly hard shot by Sören Zachrisson in the 5th minute of play forced Forest Green's goalkeeper Fabio Totakoxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Jonathan Burman came up free with the goalie in the 6th minute, the Skyborn FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jonathan Burman couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Forest Green booed when Skyborn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Vassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 9 minutes, Sixto Isusko mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Forest Green and the Skyborn FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Allan Vassenius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabio Totakoxe having to interfere. In the 12th minute of the game, Severiano Adrio landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Forest Green made a substitution. Primitivo Colon replaced Severiano Adrio. Jonathan Burman hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. When Sören Zachrisson fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Skyborn FC's protests and gave Sören Zachrisson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Skyborn FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Sören Zachrisson hit a great ball. Sixto Isusko hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. In the 20th minute Jonathan Burman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabio Totakoxe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Angelo Mogel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thomas Ravelli having to interfere. Jonathan Burman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabio Totakoxe having to make a save. Fabio Totakoxe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonathan Burman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Burman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jonathan Burman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Fabio Totakoxe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathan Burman in the 30th minute of play. After having played for 31 minutes, Sören Zachrisson managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Skyborn FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sören Zachrisson was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Forest Green's Fabio Totakoxe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Burman in the 32nd minute of play. When Florentino Piarres came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Forest Green fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florentino Piarres couldn't finish the play. In the 37th minute, Jonathan Burman got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jonathan Burman might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fabio Totakoxe. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jonathan Burman ran back to his position shaking his head. The supporters of Forest Green booed when Skyborn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Allan Vassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Sören Zachrisson made the kick off in the second half. Skyborn FC's Jonas Axelsson quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Sixto Isusko, made in the 51st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonathan Burman in the 52nd minute of play forced Forest Green's goalkeeper Fabio Totakoxe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 53rd match minute, Skyborn FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Axelsson to maneuver through the defense. When Ovidio Reynardo came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Forest Green fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ovidio Reynardo couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonathan Burman got free with Fabio Totakoxe in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Jonathan Burman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Jonathan Burman's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Fabio Totakoxe firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 76th minute, Skyborn FC's Jonathan Burman dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. The supporters of Forest Green booed when Skyborn FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jakob Wassenius didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabio Totakoxe made a fantastic save in the 83rd minute, when Jonathan Burman sent off a good shot on target. In the 86th minute, Jonathan Burman reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Fabio Totakoxe. The goal made the score 0-3. A throw-in in the 90th minute of the game was made by Marciano Iraido with Angelo Mogel as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. 91 minutes into the match, Forest Green's goalkeeper Fabio Totakoxe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jonathan Burman. The Skyborn FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Skyborn FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
