In the 10th minute Ernesto Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aldo Hawk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Atlético Patoruzu's Dom Bosch got a free kick in the 14th minute. When Francisco Rik came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Aster Brasil Futebol Club fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francisco Rik couldn't finish the play. In the 18th match minute, Atlético Patoruzu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Azulay to maneuver through the defense. Anísio Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gualterio Aguirre in the 21st minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Aster Brasil Futebol Club's Júnior de Moraes slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aldo Hawk. That made the score 1-1 after 24 minutes of play. Valentim Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sakarias Olsmann could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Aldo Hawk made a huge save. Aldo Hawk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior de Moraes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aldo Hawk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ernesto Toscano, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ernesto Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Aldo Hawk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcelo-Luis Butcher in the 42nd minute of play forced Aster Brasil Futebol Club's goalkeeper Anísio Souza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anísio Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Aguirre in the 45th minute of play. Atlético Patoruzu's Aldo Hawk proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Atlético Patoruzu from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Gualterio Aguirre made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Julio Lopes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aster Brasil Futebol Club's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Atlético Patoruzu the free kick. In the 51st minute, one of Aster Brasil Futebol Club:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aster Brasil Futebol Club. After a rather tough play, Atlético Patoruzu's Dom Bosch got a free kick in the 55th minute. Aldo Hawk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ernesto Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 61 played minutes Aster Brasil Futebol Club got a freekick which was hit by Julio Lopes. Atlético Patoruzu made a substitution. Moreno Torricelli replaced Valentim Leão. Julio Lopes kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Júnior de Moraes in the 65th minute of play forced Atlético Patoruzu's goalkeeper Aldo Hawk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aldo Hawk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júnior de Moraes's shot from short distance in the 71st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Gualterio Aguirre managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Patoruzu's supporters rose to their feet, but Gualterio Aguirre was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anísio Souza breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anísio Souza made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gualterio Aguirre in the 84th minute of play. Aldo Hawk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Paulo Neto, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rene Harman got free with Anísio Souza in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Aster Brasil Futebol Club's Anísio Souza got control of the ball when Moreno Torricelli tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 95th minute Aster Brasil Futebol Club were awarded a corner. Francisco Rik went to the cornerflag to take it. The Aster Brasil Futebol Club fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Atlético Patoruzu were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
