In the 4th match minute, Abandon All Hope was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gwidon Cieslak to maneuver through the defense. Maurício Pires was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 6 minutes into the match. 6 minutes into the game, one of JFSP:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. JFSP:s Giorgi Mamardashvili showed great skill when he stopped Gwidon Cieslak:s penalty. In the 12th minute Laércio Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Davi Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Edson Aguiar made in the 16th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Paşa Longo. JFSP's Giorgi Mamardashvili proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 18th minute of the match, managed to save JFSP from getting a goal against them. In the 19th minute, Abandon All Hope's Victor Neicu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Giorgi Mamardashvili. Giorgi Mamardashvili yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Victor Neicu struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Giorgi Mamardashvili didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abandon All Hope. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind JFSP's goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Victor Neicu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Giorgi Mamardashvili read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 34th minute, Laércio Torres left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JFSP fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Pedrão Jacinto hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. Gwidon Cieslak recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Davi Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paşa Longo in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victor Neicu to strike the kick off in the second half. Giorgi Mamardashvili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victor Neicu in the 51st minute of the match. When Victor Neicu came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Abandon All Hope fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Victor Neicu couldn't finish the play. JFSP's Giorgi Mamardashvili played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Neicu in the 61st minute of play. After a rather tough play, JFSP's Waldemar do Valle got a free kick in the 64th minute. Victor Neicu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Victor Neicu in the 69th minute of play forced JFSP's goalkeeper Giorgi Mamardashvili to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Giorgi Mamardashvili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victor Neicu in the 70th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Renato Gerber hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Victor Neicu in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Giorgi Mamardashvili saved JFSP from getting behind.
