The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Miguel Diegues made in the 4th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by WWW LENINGRAD's Igor Ivanov. 8 minutes into the match, Pes Torto notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of WWW LENINGRAD's Stepan Babich. Stepan Babich was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 14th minute Pes Torto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stepan Babich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nikolay Zanin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, WWW LENINGRAD's Stepan Babich got control of the ball when Abel Castelo Branco tried to sneak it across the goal line. Stepan Babich made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Abel Castelo Branco sent off a good shot on target. Stepan Babich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mariano Bladi, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Stepan Babich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Bladi in the 33rd minute of play. Pes Torto took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stepan Babich. Stepan Babich dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Stepan Babich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pes Torto in the 38th minute of play. In the 38th minute, Luís Brandon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Stepan Babich made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pes Torto in the 42nd minute. In the 46th minute Grigore Mergea shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauro Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

WWW LENINGRAD made a substitution. Tiburcio Tabor replaced Ruslan Nekrasov. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eder Lopes was the one to do the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Francisco Figueiredo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sabadim Harammes PRD's supporters rose to their feet, but Francisco Figueiredo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stepan Babich breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stepan Babich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Castelo Branco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th match minute, Sabadim Harammes PRD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eder Lopes to maneuver through the defense. 62 minutes into the match, Sabadim Harammes PRD's goalkeeper Mauro Cunha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Grigore Mergea. The supporters of Sabadim Harammes PRD booed when WWW LENINGRAD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grigore Mergea didn't get a good kick on the ball. 64 minutes into the match, WWW LENINGRAD's goal looked a bit too open when Mariano Bladi came free, but Stepan Babich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sabadim Harammes PRD's Pes Torto managed to work through WWW LENINGRAD's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Pes Torto dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. 74 minutes into the match, WWW LENINGRAD's goal looked a bit too open when Eder Lopes came free, but Stepan Babich reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stepan Babich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eder Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. Stepan Babich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eder Lopes in the 76th minute of play. 77 minutes into the game, Mariano Bladi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Stepan Babich was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sabadim Harammes PRD made a substitution. Tao Yao Xi replaced Francisco Figueiredo. Pes Torto took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Stepan Babich. Stepan Babich dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. WWW LENINGRAD's Stepan Babich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pes Torto in the 85th minute of play. After 86 minutes, Eder Lopes made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. WWW LENINGRAD's Stepan Babich tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sabadim Harammes PRD had played much better football throughout.
