In the 4th minute, Silvio Dolcet made a precise shot to the right of Rogério Ceni. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Afonso da Cunha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Zeledon Quintin having to make a save. Rogério Ceni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jarl Tholsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Afonso da Cunha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 18th minute Afonso da Cunha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Quintin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Afonso da Cunha ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zeledon Quintin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. The audience was convinced that Afonso da Cunha's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Zeledon Quintin was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. In the 24th minute Cumhur Günay shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zeledon Quintin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zeledon Quintin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Afonso da Cunha went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Afonso da Cunha scored 1-4 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Zeledon Quintin, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso da Cunha in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zeledon Quintin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chesney Colman in the 38th minute. It was a well-played corner which Guybrush Threepwood managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Afonso da Cunha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Zeledon Quintin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso da Cunha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th match minute, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guybrush Threepwood to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Belgrano LOS PIRATAS were leading 1-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
Zeledon Quintin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Afonso da Cunha's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. If Afonso da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 53 minutes into the match, Linea 174 Ramal Castillo's goalkeeper Zeledon Quintin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso da Cunha. 55 minutes into the match, Belgrano LOS PIRATAS's Afonso da Cunha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zeledon Quintin narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
