Alberto Paez kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Ben Breton recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Ben Breton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. André Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Breton in the 22nd minute of play. In the 26th minute Ben Breton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but André Figueiredo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goalkeeper Leonides Durango, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Leonides Durango was a little too slow when Hélder Soveral got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 31st minute. The score was now 1-0. André Figueiredo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ben Breton in the 33rd minute of play. Ivo Mourato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Minho FC made a substitution. Magno Aparecido replaced Hélder Soveral. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ben Breton to strike the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Imperio Catatumbo de Lara booed when Minho FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maicon Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Aparecido in the 64th minute of play forced Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goalkeeper Leonides Durango to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ben Breton's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, André Figueiredo skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A hard shot 66 in the game by Ben Breton from a close distance when the talented André Figueiredo managed to make a qualified save. Minho FC's players were relieved. An unexpectedly hard shot by Magno Aparecido in the 68th minute of play forced Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's goalkeeper Leonides Durango to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 69 played minutes Minho FC got a freekick which was hit by Maicon Azevedo. Minho FC made a substitution. Roman Elixio replaced Valério Osório. Minho FC made a substitution. Leonides Durango made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Magno Aparecido in the 74th minute of play. Magno Aparecido's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leonides Durango read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Marzuki Papilaya was substituted for Mantzio Poz. In the 80th minute Minho FC were awarded a corner. Roman Elixio went to the cornerflag to take it. Roman Elixio made a great header on Minho FC's corner, it was just that Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Leonides Durango managed to reach the ball for a save. Imperio Catatumbo de Lara's Liu Liang Gang pulled a muscle in his leg after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Maicon Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Minho FC's protests and gave Maicon Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 92nd match minute, Minho FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maicon Azevedo to maneuver through the defense.
