José Luis Chilavert was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 13 minutes into the game, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. José Luis Chilavert was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Constantino Roldanillo made in the 16th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Barbudos FC's Venancio Hernando. After having played for 17 minutes, Venancio Hernando managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbudos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Venancio Hernando was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the game, CRUZ DEL SUR's Pan Lin Zhen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Zdzislaw Slazak made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Zdzislaw Slazak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Lin Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 32 minutes, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Barbudos FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karl-Heinz Rummenigge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zdzislaw Slazak didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pan Lin Zhen went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. Zdzislaw Slazak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Lin Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Zdzislaw Slazak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pan Lin Zhen in the 46th minute of play. Zdzislaw Slazak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pan Lin Zhen in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pan Lin Zhen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 58th minute CRUZ DEL SUR were awarded a corner. Artaç Yavuzalp went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on CRUZ DEL SUR's corner Artaç Yavuzalp fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Zdzislaw Slazak quite easily take care of the ball. In the 60thth minute of the game Pan Lin Zhen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barbudos FC's Zdzislaw Slazak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, Barbudos FC's Zdzislaw Slazak got control of the ball when Pan Lin Zhen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Barbudos FC's Zdzislaw Slazak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pan Lin Zhen in the 68th minute of play. Zdzislaw Slazak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Lin Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barbudos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. CRUZ DEL SUR made a substitution. Wiliam Peren replaced Fabio Zorondo. Barbudos FC made a substitution. Herberts Dreizis replaced Karl-Heinz Rummenigge. Barbudos FC's Nikifor Vardev was substituted for Teo Cordero. Hitz Toxeiro kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Zdzislaw Slazak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eustacio Antonucci in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute Wiliam Peren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zdzislaw Slazak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Barbudos FC's goalkeeper Zdzislaw Slazak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wiliam Peren. In the 92nd minute Herberts Dreizis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Luis Chilavert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. José Luis Chilavert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Herberts Dreizis in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Barbudos FC's goal looked a bit too open when Matthias Vall came free, but Zdzislaw Slazak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Barbudos FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while CRUZ DEL SUR had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
