The supporters of Garphyttan booed when Lanús was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jake Hursey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roberto Puch might have been able to make a better finish in the 14th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erik Skog. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Manuel Neuer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donato de Salles in the 18th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rähim Sterling got free with Manuel Neuer in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 28th minute Viktor Albäck shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Neuer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 31st minute, Roberto Puch hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Donato de Salles in the 33rd minute of play forced Lanús's goalkeeper Manuel Neuer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ulf Wennerquist replaced George Öfverman. 91 minutes into the match, Garphyttan's goal looked a bit too open when Rabelani Thebile came free, but Erik Skog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rodrigo Lauro during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lanús getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Rodrigo Lauro hit a great ball. 97 minutes into the match, Garphyttan's goalkeeper Erik Skog had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eloy Gaskon.
