The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edvard Magnusson charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Edvard Magnusson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 4th minute, Edvard Magnusson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sonny Söderström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Bilbo, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute, Fernando Bilbo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sonny Söderström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a rather tough play, Karlsborg's Jonatan Vesterberg got a free kick in the 12th minute. In the 13th minute of the match Celestino Iruinea sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sonny Söderström skillfully saved the ball. A collision led to Karlsborg getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Edvard Magnusson hit a great ball. Sonny Söderström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fernando Bilbo in the 19th minute of the match. Fernando Bilbo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernando Bilbo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Sonny Söderström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A sloppy throw-in by Dobromir Lamczyk in the 26th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Karlsborg's Villiam Andersson. Sonny Söderström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cosme Henry in the 28th minute of the match. Sonny Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fernando Bilbo in the 29th minute of play. Santos Ricart scored 0-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sonny Söderström, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 34th minute, Fernando Bilbo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sonny Söderström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Flan Mixto FC's Fernando Bilbo pulled a muscle in his back after 37 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Jonatan Vesterberg fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Karlsborg's protests and gave Jonatan Vesterberg a yellow card for diving instead. After having played for 46 minutes, Celestino Iruinea managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Flan Mixto FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Celestino Iruinea was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Luciano Baltazar's late challenge caught a Karlsborg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Luciano Baltazar helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Flan Mixto FC's Luciano Baltazar got a free kick in the 54th minute. Sonny Söderström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Luciano Santin went, in the 56th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Luciano Santin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 played minutes Karlsborg got a freekick which was hit by Edvard Magnusson. Sonny Söderström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Victorio Bartoli in the 63rd minute of play. In the 64th match minute, Karlsborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gunnar Hellkvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute Luciano Santin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sonny Söderström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 67th match minute, Karlsborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Magnusson to maneuver through the defense. 71 minutes into the match, Flan Mixto FC's Luciano Santin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sonny Söderström narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sonny Söderström didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Flan Mixto FC's Luciano Santin shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-5 in the ordered_time% minute. Sonny Söderström was a little too slow when Luciano Santin got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 77th minute. The score was now 0-6. In the 80th match minute, Karlsborg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edvard Magnusson to maneuver through the defense. The throw-in from Christoffer Forsberg in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Flan Mixto FC's Victorio Bartoli. Luciano Santin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sonny Söderström read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. 88 minutes had been played when some careless play by Karlsborg's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Celestino Iruinea was slow to take the kick. During this time Flan Mixto FC's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Victorio Bartoli got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sonny Söderström quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Luciano Santin might have been able to make a better finish in the 90th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sonny Söderström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luciano Santin ran back to his position shaking his head. Sonny Söderström made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Luciano Santin sent off a good shot on target.
