Themos Leontiadis could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Ahmet Ege Yalaz made a huge save. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Sarı kaya FK's goalkeeper Ahmet Ege Yalaz, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Serafim Mangueira made a precise shot to the right of Alketas Bourouselos. Panionios MK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Allan Corrigan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ahmet Ege Yalaz firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Serafim Mangueira in the 29th minute of play forced Panionios MK's goalkeeper Alketas Bourouselos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Panionios MK were awarded a corner in the 36th minute after Sarı kaya FK's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fanis Salepis took the corner. It was a well-played corner which Themos Leontiadis managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. After 38 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Sarı kaya FK! In the 48th minute, Themos Leontiadis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Allan Corrigan made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Celil Nebahattin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 minutes, Themos Leontiadis made it 2-3 with a short kick to the right side. Sarı kaya FK's Ahmet Ege Yalaz tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Panionios MK's Alketas Bourouselos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Panionios MK from getting a goal against them. The throw-in from Celil Nebahattin in the 64th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Panionios MK's Fondas Giannakakis. Serafim Mangueira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alketas Bourouselos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After taking down the ball on Sarı kaya FK's corner Çağrı Polatkılıç fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Alketas Bourouselos quite easily take care of the ball. In the 74th minute, Themos Leontiadis ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ahmet Ege Yalaz was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Alketas Bourouselos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ahmet Haşim Çelikkan's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Ahmet Ege Yalaz came out of the goal in the 83rd minute to try and stop a shot by Panionios MK's Themos Leontiadis. But to his dismay, Themos Leontiadis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-3. Celil Nebahattin got a throw-in 87 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Kent Drake. Panionios MK's Fondas Giannakakis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Celil Nebahattin, made in the 90th minute of the game. Serafim Mangueira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Alketas Bourouselos made a huge save. Alketas Bourouselos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim Mangueira in the 92nd minute of play. Ahmet Haşim Çelikkan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but Alketas Bourouselos made a huge save. Panionios MK were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Sarı kaya FK for a fine match.
