With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hendrik-Jan Krommert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Allan Corrigan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Hendrik-Jan Krommert made a huge save. 17 minutes into the game, Themos Leontiadis recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hendrik-Jan Krommert. Themos Leontiadis showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. In the 20th minute, Themos Leontiadis reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hendrik-Jan Krommert. The goal made the score 4-0. Hendrik-Jan Krommert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Themos Leontiadis, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After having played for 27 minutes, Themos Leontiadis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panionios MK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Themos Leontiadis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flashdynamica's Hendrik-Jan Krommert proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Flashdynamica from getting a goal against them. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Barry Zalm was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 52 minutes, Allan Corrigan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Panionios MK's Themos Leontiadis got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alketas Bourouselos made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Michael Scott sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Allan Corrigan in the 65th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hendrik-Jan Krommert saved Flashdynamica from getting behind. Barry Zalm recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Brain Veldman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Alketas Bourouselos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Themos Leontiadis in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hendrik-Jan Krommert saved Flashdynamica from getting behind. Hendrik-Jan Krommert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Themos Leontiadis in the 77th minute of play. In the 80th minute Billy de Jager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alketas Bourouselos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Panionios MK's attentive Fondas Giannakakis managed to snatch the ball when Jochem Ijsselhof made a throw-in in the 85th minute of the game. The supporters of Flashdynamica booed when Panionios MK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filippos Liapakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 91stth minute of the game Themos Leontiadis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Flashdynamica's Hendrik-Jan Krommert was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. For all the effort they put into the match, the Flashdynamica players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Panionios MK.
