With his leg Justo Jeraldo managed to avoid a goal in the 5thth minute, when Brooklyn SC's Jonas Cole fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Elpidio Perrando sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gerardo Beard in the 8thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Justo Jeraldo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 14th minute Gerardo Beard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justo Jeraldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Brooklyn SC's Jospeh McNally played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Macri in the 17th minute of play. With a little luck, Il Catenaccio's Justo Jeraldo got control of the ball when Gerardo Beard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Justo Jeraldo was out of position in the 28 minute of play, and Jonas Cole capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Jonas Cole really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. With his leg Justo Jeraldo managed to avoid a goal in the 33rdth minute, when Brooklyn SC's Gerardo Beard fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Justo Jeraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Trenton Long, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 43 played minutes Brooklyn SC got a freekick which was hit by Mickey Doyle. When Ceferino Baldovino came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Il Catenaccio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ceferino Baldovino couldn't finish the play. 46 minutes into the match, Il Catenaccio's goal looked a bit too open when Jonas Cole came free, but Justo Jeraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Jonas Cole took the ball and in the 67 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Justo Jeraldo. Justo Jeraldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Brooklyn SC's Serginho Ramos was substituted for Mickey Doyle. Brooklyn SC made a substitution. Stacy McDonough replaced Reginald Ludwig. Brooklyn SC had played much better football throughout.
