Spectators: 170 (Terracing: 128, Seating: 39, VIP seats: 3) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Severino Messias kicked off to start the match. In the 4th minute, Paolo Cannavaro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 4th minute of the match Mario Vielva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Martin Eriksson showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elizardo Massana's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Martin Eriksson firmly grabbed it by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Elizardo Massana got free with Martin Eriksson in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Elizardo Massana came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Carqueja fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elizardo Massana couldn't finish the play. Mario Vielva could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Martin Eriksson made a huge save. Lars Batzer stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cristiano Chitarroni's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. 25 minutes into the match, Kroton F.C.'s Cristiano Chitarroni sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Lars Batzer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Martin Eriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Juan-Alfredo Solares, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. After 27 played minutes Carqueja got a freekick which was hit by Mario Vielva. Camillo Pavlu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lars Batzer. Carqueja's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Paolo Cannavaro hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 43 minutes into the match, Carqueja's goal looked a bit too open when Severino Messias came free, but Lars Batzer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Elizardo Massana stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Kroton F.C.'s Martin Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ereinotz Masbernat in the 54th minute of play. In the 54thth minute of the game Ereinotz Masbernat who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kroton F.C.'s Martin Eriksson was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 56 minutes into the match, Carqueja's goalkeeper Lars Batzer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rickard Örtendahl. The supporters of Carqueja booed when Kroton F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Vieira didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 61 minutes, Severino Messias took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Lars Batzer to make any attempt to save it. 69 minutes into the match, Kroton F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Mario Vielva came free, but Martin Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rickard Örtendahl might have been able to make a better finish in the 71st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lars Batzer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rickard Örtendahl ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Carqueja getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Honesto Cuetos hit a great ball. Lars Batzer was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Severino Messias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 73 minute of play. Ereinotz Masbernat recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mario Vielva in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Martin Eriksson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 83rd minute Juan-Alfredo Solares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Eriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elizardo Massana in the 84th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severino Messias in the 90th minute of play forced Carqueja's goalkeeper Lars Batzer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carqueja made a substitution. Xurxo Capon replaced Tavio Alguerdo. The supporters of Kroton F.C. booed when Carqueja was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandaili Trevijano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Martin Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mario Vielva in the 96th minute of play. Martin Eriksson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Vielva, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The Carqueja supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Kroton F.C.'s performance. The match ended with a win for Kroton F.C..
