Angelito Di Maria took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iwan Fafinski. Iwan Fafinski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Iwan Fafinski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Angelito Di Maria in the 8th minute of the match. In the 10th minute, Valentin Ovando got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. AKS Chorzów's Iwan Fafinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Florinio Hernandez in the 12th minute of play. Iwan Fafinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelito Di Maria in the 15th minute of play. Iwan Fafinski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florinio Hernandez, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. In the 27th minute, Zbyszko Bartelak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Iwan Fafinski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Angelito Di Maria in the 38th minute of play. Angelito Di Maria took the ball and in the 47 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Iwan Fafinski. Iwan Fafinski dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Disappointed in the 1-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tytus Ranowiecki to strike the kick off in the second half. 57 minutes into the match, Angelito Di Maria dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Iwan Fafinski, 1-5. In the 60th minute Florinio Hernandez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iwan Fafinski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The corner ended in Ciprian Pintilescu almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but AKS Chorzów's Iwan Fafinski did a great save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Florinio Hernandez got free with Iwan Fafinski in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iwan Fafinski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vinicio Cordeiro in the 86th minute. 87 minutes into the game, Florinio Hernandez recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iwan Fafinski. Florinio Hernandez showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-7. Iwan Fafinski was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Valentin Ovando showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-8 in the 91 minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Angelito Di Maria in the 96th minute of play forced AKS Chorzów's goalkeeper Iwan Fafinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
