The audience thought a goal was coming when 冯永宽 got free with Lucrețiu Gherase in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 7th minute, Danilo Maranhense ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lucrețiu Gherase was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Sal Jarrell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Lucrețiu Gherase tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 13 minutes into the match, 冯永宽 notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Lake Mohawk FC's Lucrețiu Gherase. Lucrețiu Gherase was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in Illinois Bluewaters's zone, Preston Ferreira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Roger Myles came out of the goal and Preston Ferreira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Lake Mohawk FC's Lucrețiu Gherase got control of the ball when Sal Jarrell tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 23rd minute, 冯永宽 left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Illinois Bluewaters fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by 冯永宽 in the 31st minute of play forced Lake Mohawk FC's goalkeeper Lucrețiu Gherase to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucrețiu Gherase took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from 冯永宽, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucrețiu Gherase made an important save on a dangerous shot by Danilo Maranhense in the 36th minute. Sal Jarrell struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. Lucrețiu Gherase didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Illinois Bluewaters. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sal Jarrell got free with Lucrețiu Gherase in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Sal Jarrell came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Illinois Bluewaters fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sal Jarrell couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Danilo Maranhense could shoot a difficult shot in the 46th minute, which Lucrețiu Gherase however easily saved by the left post. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Lucrețiu Gherase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. If Danilo Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 62 minutes into the match, Lake Mohawk FC's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Maranhense came free, but Lucrețiu Gherase reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Myles Clearwater kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Lucrețiu Gherase showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Danilo Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Wilson Gold struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Roger Myles didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lake Mohawk FC. Lake Mohawk FC's Lucrețiu Gherase played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 冯永宽 in the 77th minute of play.
