The audience thought a goal was coming when Per Åberg got free with Jan-Frode Aarseth in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Arvid Gravem kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Per Åberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Degerfors IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Per Åberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per Åberg in the 18th minute of play forced NTA19's goalkeeper Jan-Frode Aarseth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Rune Grøndalen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Julius Tveit hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The supporters of NTA19 booed when Degerfors IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 27 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Ingemarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Per Åberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to NTA19 getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Julius Tveit hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Guto Gomes got free with Jan-Frode Aarseth in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Rune Tronstad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastian Sandberg read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 34th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Per Åberg in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jan-Frode Aarseth saved NTA19 from getting behind. In the 39th minute Degerfors IF were awarded a corner. Guto Gomes went to the cornerflag to take it. After some fancy dribbling in the 41st minute, Per Åberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Degerfors IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Per Åberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Frode Aarseth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Degerfors IF's Sebastian Sandberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rune Grøndalen in the 45th minute of play. Mats Ingemarsson kicked well hit freekick during the 46th minute of the match. Per Åberg did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Jan-Frode Aarseth 48 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rune Tronstad to make the kick off. NTA19's Jan-Frode Aarseth played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Gomes in the 55th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Tronstad in the 57th minute of play forced Degerfors IF's goalkeeper Sebastian Sandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastian Sandberg made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Julius Tveit sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, NTA19's Ørjan Hauger got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Degerfors IF's Fredrik Isak got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jan-Frode Aarseth came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by Degerfors IF's Per Åberg. But to his dismay, Per Åberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Degerfors IF's Per Åberg got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 played minutes NTA19 got a freekick which was hit by Arvid Gravem. Degerfors IF's Kristian Brodin suffered a sore thigh after 72 minutes and couldn't finish the game. When Arvid Gravem fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NTA19's protests and gave Arvid Gravem a yellow card for diving instead. Degerfors IF's Jonatan Asmundsson was substituted for Kristian Brodin. Arvid Gravem kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Jan-Frode Aarseth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Henrik Nordlund in the 74th minute of play. 77 minutes into the match, NTA19's Rune Grøndalen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sebastian Sandberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 79 played minutes, Degerfors IF's Henrik Nordlund shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Jan-Frode Aarseth came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Degerfors IF reached it. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Per Åberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Degerfors IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Per Åberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jan-Frode Aarseth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 82 minutes into the match, Degerfors IF's Per Åberg sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jan-Frode Aarseth narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rune Tronstad struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Sebastian Sandberg didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for NTA19. Rune Grøndalen sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jan-Frode Aarseth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chris Godø hit a great freekick 97 minutes into the match. Degerfors IF's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
