After 47 minutes of play, Plaza Jewell's Fabio Cresconio made it 2-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Guillermo Bartoli was left in no man's land by his defense there! After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After a rather tough play, Plaza Jewell's Fabio Cresconio got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 94 minutes into the match, Plaza Jewell's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Roland came free, but Pablo Mei reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Nicolas Roland had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Pablo Mei. Pablo Mei was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vélez Juniors fans cheered their team off the field, for while Plaza Jewell had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
