Vitor Hugo went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Altay SK's Fazıl Uğursel to fire away a dangerous shot which Agustin Orion despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When the match clock showed 4 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Fazıl Uğursel sped through Pilar FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Agustin Orion. Alejandro Donati was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 13 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Pilar FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Altay SK:s goal. The referee gave Altay SK a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vitor Hugo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Pilar FC's Agustin Orion. 1-2. Yüce Canfer showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeo Suarez in the 17th minute of the match. After 19th play minutes Genco Gürler shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Agustin Orion and just under the crossbar into goal. 25 minutes into the match, Altay SK's goalkeeper Yüce Canfer had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Delmiro Aurken. In the 27th minute, Tadeo Suarez ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yüce Canfer was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. Luca Langoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yüce Canfer having to interfere. Agustin Orion took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Genco Gürler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Altay SK's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vitor Hugo in the 35th minute. In the 39th minute, Luca Langoni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Yüce Canfer was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-3. In the 42nd minute, Luca Langoni made a precise shot to the right of Yüce Canfer. Altay SK's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-3. In the 47th minute, one of Altay SK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Altay SK. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-3 at half-time.
Altay SK's Ejder Batı managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Pablo Ledesma in the 54 minute of the game. 56 minutes into the match, Paolo Lalla notched a goal, 7-3, to the right of Altay SK's Yüce Canfer. Yüce Canfer was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute Luca Langoni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yüce Canfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 67th minute, Paolo Lalla managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pilar FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paolo Lalla was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yüce Canfer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Tadeo Suarez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yüce Canfer was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. If Paolo Lalla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitor Hugo, 87 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Pedro Lluc fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yüce Canfer having to interfere. Eleuterio Joachim received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Yüce Canfer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 94 minutes into the game, Pilar FC's Tadeo Suarez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Yüce Canfer made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-4. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Pilar FC fully deserved thier win.
