Alfredo Joey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geale van Dongen in the 5th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 7 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Santiago Mino sped through Lobos de Carelia's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcelo Barovero. Marcelo Barovero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardino Rameriz in the 15th minute of play. Geale van Dongen hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelino Chaime in the 20th minute of the match. After 22 played minutes Palermo got a freekick which was hit by Saul Felo. Through an outstanding action, after 23 minutes, Alfredo Joey successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 25 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Mino came free, but Marcelo Barovero reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saul Felo in the 26th minute of play forced Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelino Chaime kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Marcelo Barovero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leonel Ieltxu in the 33rd minute of the match. Lobos de Carelia's Marcelo Barovero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardino Rameriz in the 38th minute of play. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardino Rameriz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Palermo's goalkeeper Alfredo Joey, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Geale van Dongen dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Alfredo Joey, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Zeca Fernandez made a kick off. Anacleto Itzaina made in the 52nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Leonel Ieltxu immediately put the ball in play. Zeca Fernandez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 56th minute, Palermo's Santiago Mino ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcelo Barovero. Marcelo Barovero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. 59 minutes into the match, Lobos de Carelia's goalkeeper Marcelo Barovero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Santiago Mino. In the 64th minute Bernardino Rameriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcelo Barovero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardino Rameriz took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelo Barovero. Marcelo Barovero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Palermo's Maximino Gonzalez was substituted for Bernardino Rameriz. A sloppy throw-in by Anacleto Itzaina in the 68th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Lobos de Carelia's Geale van Dongen. In the 70th match minute, Lobos de Carelia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zeca Fernandez to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Barovero took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santiago Mino, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute, Marcelo Darien hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute Leo Salomon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Joey saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 85th match minute, Lobos de Carelia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Prospero Inguma to maneuver through the defense. Marcelo Barovero made an important save on a dangerous shot by Santiago Mino in the 88th minute. With a little luck, Lobos de Carelia's Marcelo Barovero got control of the ball when Carolo Rozarius tried to sneak it across the goal line. 91 minutes into the match, Maximino Gonzalez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcelo Barovero. Lobos de Carelia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Maximino Gonzalez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Maximino Gonzalez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Marcelo Barovero firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 95 minutes, Jose Suero managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jose Suero was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Lobos de Carelia's Marcelo Barovero got control of the ball when Carolo Rozarius tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Lobos de Carelia fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Palermo were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
