The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Loui Lintlav's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcell Földi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. In the 7th match minute, Denmark was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ditlev Delmont to maneuver through the defense. 9 minutes into the match, ATOWN's goal looked a bit too open when Loui Lintlav came free, but Marcell Földi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A hard shot 13 in the game by Loui Lintlav from a close distance when the talented Marcell Földi managed to make a qualified save. ATOWN's players were relieved. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Loui Lintlav in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcell Földi saved ATOWN from getting behind. After 17 played minutes ATOWN got a freekick which was hit by Cornelius Gother. ATOWN's Marcell Földi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Loui Lintlav in the 24th minute of play. In the 26th minute Denmark were awarded a corner. Loui Lintlav went to the cornerflag to take it. Denmark's Loui Lintlav was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcell Földi in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 29 minutes into the game, Denmark's Loui Lintlav nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcell Földi made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Loui Lintlav in the 33rd minute of play forced ATOWN's goalkeeper Marcell Földi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute of the match Denmark got a corner. ATOWN's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Loui Lintlav ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 42nd minute, Denmark's Loui Lintlav ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Marcell Földi. Marcell Földi yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Loui Lintlav stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, ATOWN's Cornelius Gother got a free kick in the 51st minute. Marcell Földi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Loui Lintlav, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Denmark made a substitution. Benny Valfos replaced Lennart Danekjær. Denmark's Ricki Dresager was substituted for Loui Lintlav. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ricki Dresager in the 67th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcell Földi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcell Földi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Håkon Bjernemose in the 72nd minute of play. ATOWN's Marcell Földi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricki Dresager in the 73rd minute of play. 77 minutes in the game Cornelius Gother did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to August Allistair. August Allistair hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Denmark's Oluf Lebro got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 81st minute Ricki Dresager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcell Földi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcell Földi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricki Dresager in the 84th minute of play. If Ricki Dresager had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th match minute, ATOWN was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelius Gother to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Ricki Dresager shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcell Földi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
