Stig-Ove Kjellkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Leif Offendahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Stålman having to interfere. Stig-Arne Sjöö's late challenge caught a Sundens BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Stig-Arne Sjöö helped the player get up and apologised. Stig-Arne Sjöö hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peder Gernberg in the 10th minute of play forced KIA KAHA's goalkeeper Rune Stålman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcus Vase didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Stig Browald went, in the 13th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Stig-Arne Sjöö hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. 22 minutes into the match, Alf Bock had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rune Stålman. KIA KAHA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alf Bock was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. In the 26th minute Leif Offendahl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rune Stålman saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Peder Gernberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rune Stålman was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. 30 minutes into the match, Sophan Maximenia had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Vase. Sundens BK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sophan Maximenia was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stig-Arne Sjöö in the 39th minute of play forced Sundens BK's goalkeeper Marcus Vase to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Peder Gernberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Rune Stålman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to KIA KAHA getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Rasmus Vinström hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Marcus Vase made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Browald in the 56th minute of play. With 58 minutes on the clock, Östen Enström commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 58th minute, Östen Enström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in KIA KAHA's zone, Jan-Ove Lindmark stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Stålman came out of the goal and Jan-Ove Lindmark tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. KIA KAHA made a substitution. Henry Ahlgren replaced Rasmus Vinström. Marcus Vase took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stig-Ove Kjellkvist, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Gert Wickander kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Rune Stålman. That made the score 2-2 in the 77 minute of play. KIA KAHA's Rune Stålman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gert Wickander in the 83rd minute of play. After some careless play in the KIA KAHA defense, Alf Bock kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rune Stålman. The KIA KAHA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rune Stålman should have stopped the shot. Stig Browald kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match.
