Horaţiu Vintilă hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Cazimir Bănățeanu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Andrea Pavel went, in the 6th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Lucrețiu Surdu hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. When Dorel Hrean fell near the penalty area in the 12th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ferestrele AS's protests and gave Dorel Hrean a yellow card for diving instead. 13 minutes into the game, Ghostbusters CF's Paşa Buna nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cazimir Bănățeanu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. Cazimir Bănățeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paşa Buna, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eliodor Cazacu lost his temper 20 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ghostbusters CF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! Cazimir Bănățeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Surdu in the 26th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Edgar Tuleiu put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Cazimir Bănățeanu. Cazimir Bănățeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paşa Buna in the 31st minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Ferestrele AS's goal looked a bit too open when Paşa Buna came free, but Cazimir Bănățeanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cazimir Bănățeanu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Paşa Buna in the 39th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Ferestrele AS's zone, Eliodor Purcaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cazimir Bănățeanu came out of the goal and Eliodor Purcaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nichifor Săraru hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After the first half Ghostbusters CF were leading 1-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The supporters of Ferestrele AS booed when Ghostbusters CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horaţiu Vintilă didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cazimir Bănățeanu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paşa Buna, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Ferestrele AS's Cazimir Bănățeanu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Ferestrele AS from getting a goal against them. Paul Racoviță charged in rather forcefully in the 62nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Paul Racoviță the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cazimir Bănățeanu made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Paşa Buna sent off a good shot on target. Cazimir Bănățeanu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliodor Purcaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cazimir Bănățeanu was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edgar Tuleiu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 74 minute of play. Horaţiu Vintilă took the ball and in the 78 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cazimir Bănățeanu. Cazimir Bănățeanu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-5. If Horaţiu Vintilă had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 86 minutes, Lucrețiu Surdu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ghostbusters CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucrețiu Surdu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute, Gigi Spineanu had to leave the field with a concussion. Ferestrele AS's Victor Lupoaia was substituted for Gigi Spineanu. Edgar Tuleiu kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Ferestrele AS fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Ghostbusters CF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
