Give Peace a Chance's Conny Schuhmacher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ray Wardman in the 6th minute of play. 9 minutes into the match, Ray Wardman notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Give Peace a Chance's Conny Schuhmacher. Conny Schuhmacher was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 12th match minute, Give Peace a Chance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Odilo Pusch to maneuver through the defense. Martin Sindo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 13thth minute, Conny Schuhmacher skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 14th minute Ray Wardman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Conny Schuhmacher saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 17 minutes into the match, Real Brid's Ray Wardman sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Conny Schuhmacher narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Real Brid's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Glenn Jones in the 43rd minute. Ray Wardman made a great header on Real Brid's corner, it was just that Give Peace a Chance's Conny Schuhmacher managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 44th match minute, Give Peace a Chance was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kay Wering to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Justin Hilpert stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Give Peace a Chance booed when Real Brid was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alf Golding didn't get a good kick on the ball. Real Brid's Lenny Vine was substituted for Luiz Gustavo Cardoso. Alf Golding kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After having played for 57 minutes, Justin Hilpert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Give Peace a Chance's supporters crossed their fingers, but Justin Hilpert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Conny Schuhmacher stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ray Wardman's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After 62 minutes of play, Real Brid's Ray Wardman made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Conny Schuhmacher was left in no man's land by his defense there! Conny Schuhmacher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ray Wardman in the 72nd minute of the match. Ray Wardman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conny Schuhmacher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. Ray Wardman took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Conny Schuhmacher. Conny Schuhmacher dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Real Brid had won after a very even match.
