Spectators: 150 (Terracing: 113, Seating: 34, VIP seats: 3) Gonçalo Vale started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 3rd minute of the match Luan Garcia shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Benedito Velasco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Elano Vander charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Elano Vander the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 6 played minutes Araguari MG got a freekick which was hit by Elano Vander. Benedito Velasco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yan Miranda, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Benedito Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Leite in the 14th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Coritiba Futebol Clube's Ricardo Leite got a free kick in the 17th minute. The audience was convinced that Ricardo Leite's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Benedito Velasco was relentless in the 20th minute of the game. After 27th play minutes Gonçalo Vale shot 1-0, a short shot which went by João Carlos Soeiro and just under the crossbar into goal. If Ricardo Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 47th minute, Gonçalo Vale got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Yan Miranda to make the kick off. In the 56th minute, Yan Miranda made a precise shot to the right of Benedito Velasco. Araguari MG's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After a rather tough play, Coritiba Futebol Clube's Felipe Veiga got a free kick in the 62nd minute. Gonçalo Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. João Carlos Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Percival Barral charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Percival Barral the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Araguari MG booed when Coritiba Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Percival Barral didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 71st match minute, Coritiba Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Percival Barral to maneuver through the defense. João Carlos Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Moraes, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Coritiba Futebol Clube's zone, Gonçalo Vale stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. João Carlos Soeiro came out of the goal and Gonçalo Vale tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Coritiba Futebol Clube's Hélder Vargas got a free kick in the 87th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Gonçalo Vale managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araguari MG's supporters rose to their feet, but Gonçalo Vale was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. João Carlos Soeiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 95th minute, Yan Miranda ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Benedito Velasco was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-2. Araguari MG were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
