El Azulgrana's Nemesio Franco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tadeo Macias in the 3rd minute of play. In the 4th minute, Fernan Ireno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 7th minute Tadeo Macias shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nemesio Franco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tadeo Macias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nemesio Franco having to interfere. Mauricio Gartzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delmar Elia, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 15 minutes into the game, Rosendo Abastas was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barrilete Cósmico's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave El Azulgrana the free kick. Rosendo Abastas kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Barrilete Cósmico's Mauricio Gartzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Delmar Elia in the 18th minute of play. After 18 played minutes Barrilete Cósmico got a freekick which was hit by Rosendo Abastas. Mauricio Gartzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delmar Elia went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmar Elia in the 22nd minute of play forced Barrilete Cósmico's goalkeeper Mauricio Gartzi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Barrilete Cósmico's Mauricio Gartzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pablo Etxatxu in the 31st minute of play. In the 34th minute, Ildefonso Dominix got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ildefonso Dominix received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Mauricio Gartzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ildefonso Dominix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ildefonso Dominix made a kick off. Tadeo Macias received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Nemesio Franco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ildefonso Dominix blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Mauricio Gartzi having to make a save. Mauricio Gartzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ildefonso Dominix in the 55th minute of play. Delmar Elia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 58th match minute, Barrilete Cósmico was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gervasio Fertus to maneuver through the defense. Delmar Elia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mauricio Gartzi having to interfere. Maximiliano Naelio hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Ildefonso Dominix managed to get in a good position for a shot. El Azulgrana's supporters rose to their feet, but Ildefonso Dominix was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mauricio Gartzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Delmar Elia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ildefonso Dominix might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mauricio Gartzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ildefonso Dominix ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 72nd minute of the match Rosendo Abastas shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nemesio Franco showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to El Azulgrana getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Honorio Bernebe hit a great ball. In the 82nd minute of the match Rosendo Abastas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nemesio Franco skillfully saved the ball. 88 minutes into the game, Delmar Elia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Mauricio Gartzi was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Maximiliano Naelio charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maximiliano Naelio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match was over El Azulgrana could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Barrilete Cósmico throughout the match.
