After a defensive mix-up in Loja S.C.'s zone, Kermit Regan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evelio Yzarra came out of the goal and Kermit Regan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kermit Regan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Evelio Yzarra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kermit Regan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Yzarra having to interfere. Flagstaff's attentive Elvis Jacob managed to snatch the ball when Leonardo Monteserin made a throw-in in the 93rd minute of the game. After 96 minutes of play, Loja S.C.'s Jaramillo Tobalina made it 0-9 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Simon Rainey was left in no man's land by his defense there! Loja S.C.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
