The audience was convinced that Minda Talavera's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Anacleto Terrilla was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. The referee ignored Fire Breathers FC's protests and gave Gonsalve Malet a yellow card for diving instead. But to his dismay, Leopoldo Cajigal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Tavio Prus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ricardo Acitores having to interfere. After 95 played minutes West Town SC got a freekick which was hit by Minda Talavera. In the game's 96th minute Fire Breathers FC's Zenaido Ayerza took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Ricardo Acitores and thus the score was 3-1. Fire Breathers FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
