After a rather tough play, Aɾɳσɾ FC.'s Asier Fontevilla got a free kick in the 4th minute. Tomás Ortzi hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Aɾɳσɾ FC.'s Santio Ilarraz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Siro Urbez in the 17th minute of play. A collision led to Aɾɳσɾ FC. getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Silvestre Ocharan hit a great ball. Constantino Nicholas's late challenge caught a Aɾɳσɾ FC.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Constantino Nicholas helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Les Tigres's Constantino Nicholas got a free kick in the 26th minute. Eskuin Galo kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Jonathan Veronica took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santio Ilarraz. Santio Ilarraz dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of Aɾɳσɾ FC. booed when Les Tigres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benito Su didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 40 minutes, Oscar Cloyo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Les Tigres and the Aɾɳσɾ FC. players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 40 played minutes Les Tigres got a freekick which was hit by Oscar Cloyo. After the first half Les Tigres were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Balaunde made a kick off. Santio Ilarraz was a little too slow when Siro Urbez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 0-2. 63 minutes into the match, Gerhard Müller notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Les Tigres's Paulino Lain. Paulino Lain was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Siro Urbez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santio Ilarraz having to interfere. A collision led to Les Tigres getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Tomás Ortzi hit a great ball. Paulino Lain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diego Balaunde in the 76th minute of play. A collision led to Aɾɳσɾ FC. getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Diego Balaunde hit a great ball. In the 85th minute Gerhard Müller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paulino Lain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 86 minutes, Benito Su managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Les Tigres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benito Su was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Siro Urbez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Les Tigres's supporters rose to their feet, but Siro Urbez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Santio Ilarraz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulino Lain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerhard Müller in the 93rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Les Tigres's Vinicio Jon got a free kick in the 95th minute.
