Aílton Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mazinho Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With 28 minutes on the clock, Davi Mangueira commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Valdir Araújo couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Cidade Nova. In the 32nd minute Amílton Martins shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nilton Toscano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laerte Moreira in the 36th minute of play forced Cidade Nova's goalkeeper Nilton Toscano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Cidade Nova's goal looked a bit too open when Amílton Martins came free, but Nilton Toscano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Valdir Araújo made a kick off. Amílton Martins received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nilton Toscano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdir Araújo in the 60th minute of play. Bernardo Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Nilton Toscano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nilton Toscano made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Valdir Araújo sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA's Alex Garcia slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Nilton Toscano. That made the score 2-4 after 79 minutes of play. In the 82nd minute, Bernardo Santos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Nilton Toscano. The goal made the score 2-5. Nilton Toscano was a little too slow when Valdir Araújo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 2-6. Alex Garcia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Nilton Toscano made a huge save. Nilton Toscano was out of position in the 89 minute of play, and Amílton Martins capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amílton Martins really showed his touch with that goal: 2-7. If Filippo Gana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When the match was over CDS BUCANEIROS PAULISTA could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cidade Nova throughout the match.
