Spectators: 44 (Terracing: 34, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Dominican Republic's Aldo-Pedro Poy was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 4th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. With a little luck, Verbano FC's Biagio Rossi got control of the ball when Aldo-Pedro Poy tried to sneak it across the goal line. 13 minutes in the game, Hernán Diaz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Biagio Rossi having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Aldo-Pedro Poy reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Biagio Rossi. The goal made the score 2-0. 19 minutes into the game, Hernán Diaz lined in a short shot 3-0 behind a frustrated Biagio Rossi. Dominican Republic's Bruno Melillo got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Hernán Diaz took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Biagio Rossi. Biagio Rossi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Hernán Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 30th minute Bruno Melillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Biagio Rossi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Dominican Republic's José Antonio Chamot got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Biagio Rossi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hernán Diaz, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Aldo-Pedro Poy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Biagio Rossi having to interfere. In the 43rd minute, Aldo-Pedro Poy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dominican Republic's Jesús Caminero played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Fulgenzi in the 45th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Dominican Republic made a substitution. Clemente Cisneros replaced Emilio Rael. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hernán Diaz to strike the kick off in the second half. After having played for 54 minutes, Aldo-Pedro Poy managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dominican Republic's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aldo-Pedro Poy was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Biagio Rossi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernán Diaz in the 55th minute of the match. Hernán Diaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Biagio Rossi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aldo-Pedro Poy in the 58th minute of play. In the 63rd minute, Hernán Diaz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dominican Republic fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. After some careless play in the Verbano FC defense, Aldo-Pedro Poy kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Biagio Rossi. The Verbano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Biagio Rossi should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aurelio Campana in the 71st minute of play forced Dominican Republic's goalkeeper Jesús Caminero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Dominican Republic's goalkeeper Jesús Caminero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Armin Fulgenzi. The Dominican Republic fans' excitement grew in the 87th match minute when Dominican Republic's Hernán Diaz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 9-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Verbano FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bruno Melillo was slow to take the kick. During this time Dominican Republic's players had a chance to rest. The corner led to Dominican Republic's Henry Costa getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. After 94 minutes, Emanuele Bolognini mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Verbano FC and the Dominican Republic players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emanuele Bolognini kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. A collision led to Verbano FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Emilio De Meis hit a great ball. Dominican Republic were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Verbano FC for a fine match.
