An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicasio Barea in the 4th minute of play forced Maggiolo 15-12-2011's goalkeeper Iker Casillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Maggiolo 15-12-2011's zone, Nicasio Barea stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iker Casillas came out of the goal and Nicasio Barea tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 11 minutes into the match, Nicasio Barea notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Maggiolo 15-12-2011's Iker Casillas. Iker Casillas was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 13 played minutes Maggiolo 15-12-2011 got a freekick which was hit by Cesc Fabregas. After recieving a nice pass, Steelares FC's Melquiades Gaufred tried to score from far away in the 14th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nicasio Barea in the 17th minute of play forced Maggiolo 15-12-2011's goalkeeper Iker Casillas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Alfredo Bernaldo fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Maggiolo 15-12-2011's protests and gave Alfredo Bernaldo a yellow card for diving instead. Alfredo Bernaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. In the 23rdth minute of the game Dante Goyo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Steelares FC's Guaberto Ortzi was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With an all-out effort, Maggiolo 15-12-2011's Guaberto Ortzi threw himself towards the right post 26 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dante Goyo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Charles-Emmanuel De Ketelaere might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Guaberto Ortzi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Charles-Emmanuel De Ketelaere ran back to his position shaking his head. Cesc Fabregas hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute of the match Melquiades Gaufred sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Iker Casillas skillfully saved the ball. Iker Casillas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicasio Barea, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Guaberto Ortzi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Goyo in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the match, Steelares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Goyo came free, but Guaberto Ortzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Habib Uluç to strike the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Steelares FC's goal looked a bit too open when Charles-Emmanuel De Ketelaere came free, but Guaberto Ortzi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute, Steelares FC's Nicasio Barea ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Iker Casillas. Iker Casillas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. Mate Jelenić sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Steelares FC booed when Maggiolo 15-12-2011 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gusmão Brás didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicasio Barea could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Iker Casillas made a huge save. In the 71st minute, Severino Montrell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Maggiolo 15-12-2011 were furious when Cesc Fabregas was red carded, 83 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. After 88 minutes of play, Steelares FC's Vicente Monico made it 0-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Iker Casillas was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jacobo Gartzi struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Iker Casillas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Steelares FC. Thanks to some nice moves Nicasio Barea could shoot a difficult shot in the 95th minute, which Iker Casillas however easily saved by the left post. Maggiolo 15-12-2011's Iker Casillas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Barea in the 96th minute of play. Dante Goyo charged in rather forcefully in the 97th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dante Goyo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Steelares FC booed when Maggiolo 15-12-2011 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dante Goyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Steelares FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
