Steffen Gimlinge ran back to his position shaking his head. 4 minutes into the match, Sementales FC's goal looked a bit too open when Steffen Gimlinge came free, but Ermegildo Barto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cougars FC's Ivan Ashton proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Cougars FC from getting a goal against them. Ermegildo Barto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Steffen Gimlinge, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th minute of the match, Benito Ebardo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ivan Ashton was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Ivan Ashton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vinicio Panfilo in the 11th minute of the match. Steffen Gimlinge might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ermegildo Barto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Steffen Gimlinge ran back to his position shaking his head. Javier Elia took the ball and in the 16 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ivan Ashton. Ivan Ashton dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. With a little luck, Cougars FC's Ivan Ashton got control of the ball when Javier Elia tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ivan Ashton showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tino Horquizar, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Steffen Gimlinge came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Cougars FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steffen Gimlinge couldn't finish the play. Ermegildo Barto didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Steffen Gimlinge went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. After 37 minutes of play, Cougars FC's Steffen Gimlinge made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ermegildo Barto was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ermegildo Barto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Steffen Gimlinge in the 40th minute of play. In the 45th minute Steffen Gimlinge shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Barto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ivan Ashton made a fantastic save in the 47th minute, when Javier Elia sent off a good shot on target. After the first half Cougars FC were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Vinicio Panfilo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute, Steffen Gimlinge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivan Ashton made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benito Ebardo in the 57th minute of play. Ivan Ashton took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tino Horquizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Sementales FC's Isidro Damario got a free kick in the 60th minute. Steffen Gimlinge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermegildo Barto having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Eustaquio Mede hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 81 played minutes Cougars FC got a freekick which was hit by Eustaquio Mede. Ermegildo Barto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Steffen Gimlinge, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. A hard shot 87 in the game by Steffen Gimlinge from a close distance when the talented Ermegildo Barto managed to make a qualified save. Sementales FC's players were relieved. Steffen Gimlinge kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute Titan Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ivan Ashton saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Cougars FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cougars FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
