Richard Pickens's late challenge caught a Mundelein FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Richard Pickens helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th match minute, Bella Vista AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Richard Pickens to maneuver through the defense. Scotty Pate was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bella Vista AFC's goalkeeper Philip Frost, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. A collision led to Mundelein FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Scotty Pate hit a great ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Darell Ernst managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bella Vista AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Darell Ernst was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 16th minute, Korey Peralta reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mickey Alston. The goal made the score 1-0. If Todd Coppack had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Todd Coppack to make the kick off. With his leg Philip Frost managed to avoid a goal in the 52ndth minute, when Mundelein FC's Romeo Gentry fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 56th minute, Romeo Gentry got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 57th minute, Richard Pickens hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mickey Duvall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Philip Frost tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Darell Ernst fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bella Vista AFC's protests and gave Darell Ernst a yellow card for diving instead. In the 61st minute, one of Bella Vista AFC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bella Vista AFC. Mickey Alston came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Bella Vista AFC's Todd Coppack. But to his dismay, Todd Coppack quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Isidro Simons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Frost having to interfere. Romeo Gentry fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Philip Frost having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Mickey Duvall managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mundelein FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Mickey Duvall was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Philip Frost breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the last second Philip Frost throw himself and got hold of the ball when Mickey Duvall in the 92ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Todd Coppack fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mickey Alston having to interfere. Marcos Koch kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Mickey Alston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Todd Coppack, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
