An unexpectedly hard shot by Quentin Marshall in the 6th minute of play forced Tom the baller's goalkeeper Omar Jacob to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 11th minute, Ali Carrier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Quincy Burks ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Omar Jacob was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Randy Lentz during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Tom the baller fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Omar Jacob, was totally fooled by New Whiteland FC's Lee Whitney, who 21 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 34 minutes into the game, Walton Lay was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tom the baller's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave New Whiteland FC the free kick. In the 34th minute, Walton Lay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Walton Lay managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tom the baller's supporters rose to their feet, but Walton Lay was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Cuevas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Roger Rowan came free in the 43rd minute and tried to tip the ball over Peter Cuevas, but to the joy of New Whiteland FC's supporters the ball went over. 45 minutes into the match, Tom the baller's Roger Rowan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Peter Cuevas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Roger Rowan shot from long distance after 46 played minutes, a shot that Peter Cuevas with certain difficulty stopped from going in under the crossbar. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Quincy Burks stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Blaine Longoria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Omar Jacob having to interfere. After a rather tough play, New Whiteland FC's Ricardo Escobar got a free kick in the 56th minute. Quincy Burks hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. 63 minutes into the match, Tom the baller's goal looked a bit too open when Quincy Burks came free, but Omar Jacob reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 76 minutes, Gerald Nugent mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tom the baller and the New Whiteland FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 76th minute, Gerald Nugent hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Walton Lay who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 79thth minute tested the skills of Peter Cuevas when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Avery Hollandsworth got free with Peter Cuevas in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Homer Richter kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. If Gerald Nugent had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 94 minutes, Quincy Burks managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. New Whiteland FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Quincy Burks was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tom the baller's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because New Whiteland FC had won, even though Tom the baller had held more of the ball.
