Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) When Kirk Hearn fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Samson AFC's protests and gave Kirk Hearn a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Samson AFC getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Kirk Hearn hit a great ball. Reuben Pate received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Russ Thurman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. CYCLONES FC's Ken Winston proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save CYCLONES FC from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Victor Feliciano during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Samson AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victor Feliciano to maneuver through the defense. In the 12th minute, Reuben Pate got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 14th minute by Scotty Hargrove got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. When Scotty Hargrove came up free with the goalie in the 20th minute, the Samson AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Scotty Hargrove couldn't finish the play. Samson AFC's Russ Thurman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Milan Guzman in the 23rd minute of play. Davis Rosario charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Davis Rosario the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Davis Rosario hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Ken Winston came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Samson AFC's Scotty Hargrove. But to his dismay, Scotty Hargrove quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Russ Thurman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milan Guzman in the 35th minute of play. Scotty Hargrove succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 38th playminute. 41 minutes into the game, Romeo Vasquez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. CYCLONES FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Samson AFC the free kick. Romeo Vasquez hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Steve Weston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Ken Winston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Russ Thurman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reuben Pate in the 45th minute of the match. With a little luck, CYCLONES FC's Ken Winston got control of the ball when Scotty Hargrove tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Steve Weston was the one to do the kick off. If Milan Guzman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ken Winston took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Scotty Hargrove, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Steve Weston's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ken Winston was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. The supporters of Samson AFC booed when CYCLONES FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chad Molina didn't get a good kick on the ball. 4-0 became the score in the 66th minute when Steve Weston elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Steve Weston came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Samson AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Steve Weston couldn't finish the play. Scotty Hargrove fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ken Winston having to interfere. Reuben Pate took the ball and in the 76 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Russ Thurman. Russ Thurman dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Scotty Hargrove in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ken Winston prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Steve Weston in the 82nd minute of play forced CYCLONES FC's goalkeeper Ken Winston to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes of play, Samson AFC's Steve Weston made it 5-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ken Winston was left in no man's land by his defense there! Russ Thurman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Reuben Pate, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. If Scotty Hargrove had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steve Weston struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Ken Winston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samson AFC. Samson AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of CYCLONES FC for a fine match.
