In the 8th minute Anibal Algarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Moraina saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Quiñónez Madera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Caruezo having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Urrutia Gante ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gilmar Moraina was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 46th minute, Xizavier Salces hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Xuban Frexes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Lestat Futbol Club's zone, Anibal Algarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gilmar Moraina came out of the goal and Anibal Algarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute, Alvaro Folle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anibal Algarte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Moraina having to interfere. Gilmar Moraina showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Valda, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. With a little luck, Lestat Futbol Club's Gilmar Moraina got control of the ball when Anibal Algarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. 90 minutes into the match, Putumayo FC's Cruz Mazuca sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gilmar Moraina narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
