Pieter-Jan Van Hoght came out and tried to block the shot, but Mauricio Barreneche slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 38th minute. With his leg Pieter-Jan Van Hoght managed to avoid a goal in the 42ndth minute, when CD Ceilan's Mauricio Barreneche fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mauricio Barreneche made a kick off. Ataulfo Enciso was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Berkem Akmanoğlu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 59 minute of play. In the 64th match minute, CD Ceilan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alberto Randoli to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute Aguirre Gallano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pieter-Jan Van Hoght saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Tenorio Alzorbe fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. Berkem Akmanoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Ataulfo Enciso made a huge save. Porteños FC's Pieter-Jan Van Hoght played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauricio Barreneche in the 75th minute of play. 79 minutes into the game, CD Ceilan's Mauricio Barreneche nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pieter-Jan Van Hoght made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. Ignacio Yzaguirre took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ataulfo Enciso. Ataulfo Enciso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-3. Berkem Akmanoğlu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-4 in the 89th playminute. After 92 minutes of play, Porteños FC's Policarpio Pastor made it 3-5 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ataulfo Enciso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Berkem Akmanoğlu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Ataulfo Enciso made a huge save.
