The referee ignored MOTILONES FC's protests and gave Etor Borinaga a yellow card for diving instead. Cucunuba's Magdaleno Alborja was substituted for Emesto Sedeño. After 21 played minutes MOTILONES FC got a freekick which was hit by Etor Borinaga. Vincent Graells showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Yang Feng Zhen in the 22nd minute of the match. Vincent Graells showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ivan Macaneață, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Vincent Graells took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yang Feng Zhen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rodrigo De Paul got free with Todor Urtado in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the game, Zorion Galantia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. MOTILONES FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cucunuba the free kick. 33 minutes into the game, one of MOTILONES FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Leandro Nurueña took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Todor Urtado. Todor Urtado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. In the 40th minute, Magdaleno Alborja hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, MOTILONES FC's Paublo Achaque tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 44th match minute, MOTILONES FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baldomiro Moreira to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, a hard, long distance shot from Sidro Barzurqueta hit the top of the crossbar and flew over the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ivan Macaneață was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Yang Feng Zhen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Yang Feng Zhen came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Cucunuba fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yang Feng Zhen couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, Yang Feng Zhen had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vincent Graells. MOTILONES FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Yang Feng Zhen was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. If Corderro Marañon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivan Macaneață received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vincent Graells came out and tried to block the shot, but Ivan Macaneață slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 65th minute. After a rather tough play, Cucunuba's Xiao Cordova got a free kick in the 67th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Magdaleno Alborja during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 74th match minute, Cucunuba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Magdaleno Alborja to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, MOTILONES FC's Vincent Graells got control of the ball when Yang Feng Zhen tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rodrigo De Paul kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Yang Feng Zhen's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vincent Graells read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. Marco-Antonio Etcheverry hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. A collision led to MOTILONES FC getting a freekick after 92 minutes play. Marco-Antonio Etcheverry hit a great ball. The supporters of Cucunuba booed when MOTILONES FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Etor Borinaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the MOTILONES FC defense, Ivan Macaneață kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vincent Graells. The MOTILONES FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vincent Graells should have stopped the shot. The Cucunuba supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Cucunuba would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
