Beltran Santayana tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Beltran Santayana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Melquiades Barricat, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gabon Diosdado struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Baumer Cortez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Locomotora FC. Severiano Solbeida in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Baumer Cortez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Locomotora FC's Beltran Santayana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Melquiades Barricat in the 41st minute of play. If Gabon Diosdado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gilberto Arijola made a kick off. In the 51st match minute, Came was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Barricat to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Came booed when Locomotora FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gabon Diosdado didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilberto Arijola was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 74th minute. Came's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance.
