In the 5th minute Marcial Zuazna shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cibran Velasquez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ceandro Folch in the 9th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jaunzuria Luyando saved Atletico Maturrango from getting behind. Ebardo Ontaneda kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Roberto Juanes might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jaunzuria Luyando. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Roberto Juanes ran back to his position shaking his head. Atletico Maturrango's Jaunzuria Luyando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceandro Folch in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes in the game Aureliano Mascaraque did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Xizavier Varona. Cibran Velasquez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Octavio Carballo in the 34th minute of the match. After 48 played minutes Pando CNdeF got a freekick which was hit by Ágoston Dudics. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Octavio Carballo to make the kick off. Roberto Juanes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jaunzuria Luyando read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 54th minute of play. Atletico Maturrango's Jaunzuria Luyando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceandro Folch in the 55th minute of play. In the 56th match minute, Atletico Maturrango was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aureliano Mascaraque to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute of the match, Florencio Herbella tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Cibran Velasquez saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Florencio Herbella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ceandro Folch in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jaunzuria Luyando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
