Roma's José Ignacio Poyancos tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 19thth minute of the game Wilfredo Truylos who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Universidad de Chile's Jordi Srain was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Universidad de Chile's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
