Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Yuri Magalhães got the match started through his kick off. Vicente da Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Enrique Soares in the 3rd minute of the match. When Ronaldão Lago fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Costello's protests and gave Ronaldão Lago a yellow card for diving instead. In the 8th minute, Ronaldão Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Guilherme de Carvalho charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Guilherme de Carvalho the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guilherme de Carvalho in the 15th minute of play forced Costello's goalkeeper Vicente da Rocha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Guilherme de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Vicente da Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Costello's João Carlos Moura got a free kick in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, José Maria Freitas got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guilherme de Carvalho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vicente da Rocha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Guilherme de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 48th minute of the match Custódio Silveira shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vicente da Rocha showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Mazinho Cordeiro made a kick off. Vicente da Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yuri Magalhães in the 54th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Enrique Soares reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Vicente da Rocha. The goal made the score 0-1. Mogeiro's Custódio Silveira shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 62nd minute of play. The shot was stopped by Vicente da Rocha but with some difficulty. 66 minutes into the game, Wilton Tinoco recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Vicente da Rocha. Wilton Tinoco showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-2. 72 minutes into the match, Mogeiro's goal looked a bit too open when Mazinho Cordeiro came free, but Flavinho Mandrak reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Mogeiro booed when Costello was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Celso dos Santos didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yuri Magalhães who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Vicente da Rocha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 85th minute, Walmir Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Flavinho Mandrak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazinho Cordeiro in the 90th minute of play. 92 minutes into the match, Costello's goalkeeper Vicente da Rocha had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guilherme de Carvalho. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Yuri Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mogeiro's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuri Magalhães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Vicente da Rocha breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Costello getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. César Moreira hit a great ball. When the final whistle sounded Mogeiro left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Costello.
