Selfpropolled Volkswagem's supporters rose to their feet, but Danilo Mazza was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mané Abraão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 46th minute, Morros's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Wesley Vianna fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.
