Joel Mineiro hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Sidnei Porto struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Ivo Braga didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caiçara Esporte Clube. Dalmo Severo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 13 played minutes Caiçara Esporte Clube got a freekick which was hit by William Marques. Ivo Braga made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Dé Valle sent off a good shot on target. If Dé Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dé Valle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ivo Braga having to interfere. Dalmo Severo kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to Caiçara Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Alex Dionísio hit a great ball. When Frecheiras's Giovani Gaúcho in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Caiçara Esporte Clube's goalie prevented a goal. Dalmo Severo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frank Sá having to interfere. Giovani Gaúcho might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Frank Sá. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Giovani Gaúcho ran back to his position shaking his head. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Giovani Gaúcho made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Giovani Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Sá saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Dé Valle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 70 minutes into the match, Frecheiras's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo da Silva came free, but Ivo Braga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dé Valle in the 77th minute of play forced Frecheiras's goalkeeper Ivo Braga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frecheiras's Hermínio Souto got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Alfredo da Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frank Sá was a little too slow when Dalmo Severo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 88th minute. The score was now 0-1. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Frecheiras eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
