Álvaro Velasco made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Emanuel Bueno sent off a good shot on target. Álvaro Velasco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Bueno in the 12th minute of the match. In the 13th match minute, Grêmio IGFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eusébio Araújo to maneuver through the defense. Adhemar Gaúcho kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. Emanuel Bueno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Bueno in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Álvaro Velasco prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Júlio Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Velasco having to interfere. Alexandre da Costa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Deivid de Sousa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Juan Vasconcelos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee felt a red card was in order, 35 minutes into the game, when João Pedro Borges put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Grêmio IGFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Capivary EC:s goal. When the match had been going on for 37 minutes, Capivary EC's João Paulo Félix got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Álvaro Velasco. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Emanuel Bueno to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuel Bueno in the 56th minute of play forced Grêmio IGFC's goalkeeper Álvaro Velasco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Júlio Vieira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Álvaro Velasco having to interfere. 61 minutes into the match, Emanuel Bueno notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Grêmio IGFC's Álvaro Velasco. Álvaro Velasco was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Emanuel Bueno ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute, Gildo de Lara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Álvaro Velasco took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuel Bueno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emanuel Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Álvaro Velasco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Emanuel Bueno in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Álvaro Velasco saved Grêmio IGFC from getting behind. When Júlio Vieira came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Capivary EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Júlio Vieira couldn't finish the play. Emanuel Bueno struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Álvaro Velasco didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Capivary EC. After having played for 93 minutes, Júlio Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Capivary EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the match, Grêmio IGFC's goal looked a bit too open when Emanuel Bueno came free, but Álvaro Velasco reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Capivary EC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
