In the 5th minute, one of Jardim Julia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Jardim Julia. The referee gave Mackenzie College FC a penalty, 6 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vivaldo Montenegro, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Jardim Julia's Fabinho Valle. 0-1. Fabinho Valle showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zézinho Corrêa in the 11th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Toninho Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vivaldo Montenegro took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Fabinho Valle. Jardim Julia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 15th match minute, Jardim Julia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toninho Rosado to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cícero Vale in the 19th minute of play forced Jardim Julia's goalkeeper Fabinho Valle to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 24th minute, Paulo José Bezerra made a precise shot to the right of Fabinho Valle. Jardim Julia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Fabinho Valle took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carlinhos Guerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Tadeu Teixeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cícero Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Paulo José Bezerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulo José Bezerra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd minute, Paulo José Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Zézinho Corrêa was the one to do the kick off. Cafu Maia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Teixeira having to interfere. 56 minutes into the match, Carlinhos Guerra notched a goal, 1-3, to the right of Mackenzie College FC's Tadeu Teixeira. Tadeu Teixeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 61 minutes into the match, Mackenzie College FC's Paulo José Bezerra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabinho Valle narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Cícero Vale's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fabinho Valle was relentless in the 70th minute of the game. Carlinhos Guerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tadeu Teixeira having to interfere. 76 minutes into the match, Mackenzie College FC's goal looked a bit too open when Carlinhos Guerra came free, but Tadeu Teixeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paulo José Bezerra could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Fabinho Valle made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Zézinho Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mackenzie College FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Zézinho Corrêa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Fabinho Valle breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 81 minutes into the match, Paulo José Bezerra dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fabinho Valle, 1-4. Zézinho Corrêa was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 88th minute. Mackenzie College FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. A collision led to Jardim Julia getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Toninho Rosado hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulo José Bezerra got free with Fabinho Valle in the 90th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tadeu Teixeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlinhos Guerra in the 92nd minute of play. Zézinho Corrêa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mackenzie College FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
